Pennsylvania Southeast Conference UCC is set to hold its annual spring meeting with a theme, "May they all be one: Unleashing the Spirit," on Friday, June 2, at West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

In the spring meeting, attendees will find renewal and commune with the Spirit of Christ.

As the church's future is hardly assured, Christians are in the wilderness, where they must learn to survive in the face of adversity and uncertainty.

The Pennsylvania Southeast Conference UCC invites the community to enter a time of oasis when they can take a breath, connect with the Spirit of Christ, be renewed, and realize that they are not alone in their battle.

According to Eventbrite, they ask people to open to the Spirit's leadership as they explore together the life-giving seeds of potential inside the "wilderness experience, and re-imagine what it means to be the Body of Christ in this place and time."

Part of this rethinking involves making new connections between different groups in the community, such as churches and organizations.

Congregations from all over the conference will be represented to discuss how this has been a life-changing experience for them and how they overcame long-standing opposition to make it happen.

Similarly, Keystone Study Group delegates will detail their discussions of potential merger talks between the four Pennsylvania conferences.

Those interested can register on the link provided; the ticket costs $200.

About Pennsylvania Southeast Conference UCC

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is the organization that makes up the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference.

As stated on its website, they have more than 160 congregations, all of which are open to everyone and offer lavish welcomes to everyone.

Their way of thinking is not as old as their faith, which is 2,000 years old. They are a church where "God is still speaking" and are dedicated to justice, equality, healing, and peace.

PSEC serves as the 'connecting tissue' between their church's many local and international ministries. Together, they equip and encourage local churches, pastors, and congregations to fulfill the church's greater mission.

A Unique Blend of Congregations

The conference continues to welcome new congregations into the United Church of Christ, enriching their history and expanding their knowledge of God's work in shared history.

African-American, Indian, and Hispanic congregations have been incorporated into the conference, which is predominantly reformed, with some denominations claiming Congregational affiliations.

Incorporating these congregations strengthens and broadens the historic foundations while improving community life and worship.

Compact geography allows PSEC to be one of the smallest conferences geographically but one of the largest numerically in the United Church of Christ.

As a result, they can offer many opportunities to strengthen their local churches through training, support, and congregational formation.
