First Christian Church of Scottsdale prepares for the Regional Assembly in November through the conduct of Miracle Days on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 8:30 a.m.
Miracle Days
As announced on its website, First Christian Church of Scottsdale is conducting Miracle Days. This event will prepare the church for the Regional Assembly in November.
First Christian Church will serve as the host for this regional gathering. Sept. 3 was the first date for Miracle Days. Volunteers were tasked to help in the church from 8:30 a.m. until noon.
Miracle Days aim to complete small to medium tasks for hosting the Regional Assembly. As stated on the website, this event serves as an opportunity for members to give back to the church and help maintain the buildings in good condition.
Furthermore, First Christian Church of Scottsdale targets to save the church some expenses through Miracle Days. Through the help of volunteers, it does not need to hire workers to get things done.
Work will start at 8:30 a.m. However, all are welcome to come after 8:30. The church hopes work is already accomplished by noon.
Tasks during Miracle Days include dusting blinds, cleaning tables and chairs, washing small windows, and clearing clutter. The First Christian Church requests volunteers to bring their water bottles and wear a mask.
It is also hopeful that its church will have all the necessary supplies.
However, everyone is free to bring dishwashing gloves if they have sensitive skin. Volunteers for Miracle Days will be working in small teams.
The church will provide light snacks and water. The next Miracle Days will be on Saturday, Oct.1.
Other Activities
In September, First Christian Church is looking to engage community response through blood drives of the Red Cross.
It also encourages those interested in the Blood Drives to bring food when they come.
As shared on the website, the First Christian Church will put a food box in front of the Fellowship Hall every third Wednesday of each month.
Everyone can put in their donations from 9 a.m. until noon. They may put their donations in the same box in the Fellowship Hall any Sunday.
Raise the Roof
Raise the Roof is a 12- month program at First Christian Church of Scottsdale. This one will be a fundraising activity to repair the church’s aging Roof that has become leaky.
First Christian Church of Scottsdale aims to raise $30,000 to cover the repairs. The church estimated that if 50 individuals can donate $50 monthly, the $30,000 target is achievable.
