Highlands Church helps students in Rocky Point Mexico with Back-to-School Drive

Highlands Church reaches out to students in need in Rocky Point, Mexico. The church invites everyone to partner with its sister church, Family of God, for its program, Back-to-School Drive.

It started collecting backpacks filled with school supplies on June 30, Thursday, and donations will be accepted until July 31, Sunday.

Backpacks for Rocky Point 

Highlands Church works with the Family of God in serving as blessings to students in Rocky Point, Mexico. According to its website, the outreach aims to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to elementary through university students. 

It requests all interested to donate backpacks to fill them with supplies from the church's list. All are asked to drop the backpacks in the labeled bins in the Worship Center Lobby. 

Backpacks can be dropped off during the weekend services on Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. or Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Those who will give to the Back–to–School Drive may also drop off donations at the Highlands Office from Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. 

Highlands Church welcomes cash donations to the Back–to–School Drive. The cash donations will be used for shopping for school supplies and backpacks. 

The church also encourages those who want to donate financially to click the button it provided on its website. 

Highlands Church 

As stated on its Facebook page, the mission of Highlands Church is to love God, love people, and make disciples. The church encourages all to come to its worship services on Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. 

Another time for worship for Highlands Church is on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Its worship services offer an experience of incredible worship music, prayer, and Bible teaching. 

The church is located at 9050 E Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale. 

Bob Wade serves as Lead Pastor at Highlands Church. At the same time, Tyler McGrath serves as Executive Pastor. The Next Steps pastors and other staff join these two leaders in guiding the congregation in their faith journey.

It is an independent, non – denominational, and Bible-based community church. Furthermore, the church strongly aspires to be a reforming team as it serves its community and the world.

Highlands at Mexico

The website states that the church works with local churches in San Luis, Ensenada, and Rocky Point. Highlands Church is engaged in missions such as feeding programs, vision and dental care, physical therapy, wheelchair fittings, home repair, and house and shower builds. 

Additionally, the church provides special needs programs to Mexican and immigrant communities.

According to Family of God's website, the church, like Highlands Church, is an independent, non – denominational, and Bible-based church. Family of God lives by its mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Christ.

It is located at Blvd. Costero #2000, Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico.
