Highlands Church will hold its annual Christmas party for children with special needs on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Special Needs Christmas Party

As shared in Highlands Church's announcement, the Christmas party would be an excellent time for kids with special needs to experience the love and joy that Christmas brings. It provided details of the event through its website.

Special Needs Christmas Party is a free community event for kids ages 13 and below with special needs.

Highlands Church said it would welcome all to the Christmas party, including non-members.

The program will include games, music, crafts, other activities, and the appearance of Santa Claus. There will also be food for all.

Highlands Church stated that its team of volunteers would ensure all party attendees receive the best individual attention and care. It also provided a link for signing up a kid with special needs.

The church requested volunteers to serve as buddies and helpers throughout the event. It encouraged all to consider becoming volunteers at the Special Needs Christmas Party.

According to the church, it would be a great chance to serve as a family.

Highlands Church did not require experience and simply asked for a "heart to serve." It hosted a volunteer training on Sunday, Nov. 27, after church at 12:30 p.m.

Special Needs Ministry

Special Needs Ministry at Highlands Church aims to lovingly share Christ with individuals with special needs regardless of age. It works to help them become all God has created them to be.

Additionally, the ministry wants to equip them to follow Jesus and empower these individuals to serve within the church as they all grow together in faith.

Christmas at Highlands Church

Highlands Church will host another Christmas party called "Christmas at Highlands," but this time, for the entire congregation. It will be a two-day event for families to celebrate Christmas at the church.

Christmas at Highlands will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, at 6:45 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 24. There will be various times for this, specifically at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.

The church said it would celebrate Jesus’ birth through carols, candlelight, and message. Family activities will be hosted before the service on Monday, Dec.12, and between services on Saturday, Dec. 24.

There will be train rides, cookies, hot chocolate, photo spots, and more. Afterward, everyone will be expected to go inside the church for a service featuring carols, a Christmas story, and an opportunity to "respond to the gift of the Savior, Jesus Christ."

Highlands Church requested everyone to consider becoming a volunteer at these Christmas events. As shared on its website, these Christmas services will be free and open to all.

The church will not require tickets for Christmas at Highlands.
