December at Harvester Christian Church

Harvester Christian Church announced its various ways of embracing the holiday season and sharing the love of Christ this December. It said it will make teachers feel special by giving out Christmas baskets.

The church provided details about the Teacher Christmas Вasket Packing event through its website. It encouraged all to volunteer for this activity.

Harvester Christian Church will hold Teacher Christmas Вasket Packing on the lower level of its Administrative building. It asked those interested in volunteering to come on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The volunteers will prepare and pack the baskets and write Christmas cards for educators at Barnwell Middle School, Becky David Elementary School, and Harvest Ridge Elementary School.

Harvester Christian Church will serve a light lunch during the Teacher Christmas Вasket Packing activity.

The church said it will offer everyone another opportunity to serve others this holiday season. The church organized a December Sharing Shed Workday, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Volunteers will receive and restore donations and help families choose their furniture and household items. They will also help load the items into vehicles. Another way to help during December Sharing Workday is to pick up donated items and deliver them to families who do not have their cars.

According to its website, Sharing Shed Workday aims to address the needs of people in crisis together for the Lord’s glory.

Furthermore, Sharing Shed’s mission is to gather the community for the common good of its clients as it helps restore hope, dignity, and stability in their lives.

Harvester Christian Church invited its congregation to volunteer at Harvest Ridge Hot Cocoa Drive-Thru. It is a volunteer opportunity, which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, from 3:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.

As stated in the announcement, the church needs volunteers to serve hot cocoa during the pick-up line in the Harvest Ridge Parking Lot.
