Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will hold a prayer drive-thru on Saturday, April 15, at Washington Avenue, St. Louis.

The church’s Facebook page posted that the church’s prayer warriors and Century Men Ministries will pray for the people.

The event will highlight the Scripture in Philippians 4:6-7 which says, “Do not worry about anything, but pray about everything.” The verse added that people should be thankful when they pray and ask God for their requests.

In addition, the Scripture noted that God would bless those who belong to Jesus with peace that no one could completely understand. According to the verse, this peace would control people’s feelings and thinking.

Besides, the church’s post announced that there would be a Prayer Drive-Thru Fellowship Dinner on April 16.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

The church’s website states Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church offers Intercessory Prayer Ministry to advocate prayer among all individuals, churches, and groups. They said they wanted them to learn to pray through the Holy Spirit.

As mentioned, the church seeks to motivate people never to stop praying. They added that this ministry seeks to empower and show the power of the Truth of their Lord Jesus Christ as the “Spiritual Armor of Faith.”

Moreover, the church believes that God trains and strengthens them in every situation where they can win souls. They explained that they attain their mission through conducting evangelistic outreaches. Also, they host intercessory prayer for building God’s Kingdom.

The same website posted that the church members gather every Friday morning to pray together.

Church’s Ministries

In another section, the church offers members various opportunities through different ministries. They emphasized that Century Men seeks to unite a hundred young and adult men.

The church pointed out that male members gather for fellowship and training. It equips these men to assist in the work of the church.

They also have their pastor, as explained on the website, and added that the men’s program sings praise to God as the Men’s Chorus.

On the other hand, the church provides opportunities for women and mothers to serve as Deaconess. According to them, ladies serving as deaconesses and Mothers must separate themselves to be fully dedicated and spiritually inspired in doing their part.

As further mentioned, these positions are separated in the church as holy entities to work in the Deaconess Ministry to benefit the church. They added that they offer spiritual assistance to strengthen and guide the church's work.

Deacons Ministry

In addition, the Deacons' Ministry is where the church, with its congregational polity, would elect a layperson to serve in worship and pastoral care. They would also be in charge of the administrative committees.

From the Greek word “diakonos,” which means servant, the church said that deacons would prepare and serve communion. They would gather and count offerings, as noted on the website.

More importantly, they mentioned that deacons pray and visit sick people. The church said that they are in charge of their facilities' cleanliness and other tasks where their service is needed.
