Kirkwood United Methodist Church to host worship service for congregation, community

Kirkwood United Methodist Church (UMC) will gather its congregation and community for worship called "The One"  on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. 

The One

Kirkwood UMC announced The One event through its website. According to the church, it will be the only time for worship at on Sunday, Jan. 29. 

It said it would be an opportunity for all to unite at one worship time as one community. It added it would be a chance for everyone to celebrate "one awesome God."

Kirkwood UMC shared that The One would be a great time to visit the church and experience traditional and contemporary worship elements, as the event would be a blended service.

It invited all to go to the gathering and to stay after the service and enjoy some delicious chili. There will be a chili cook-off in The Commons after worship.

The church also encouraged all to watch for more information soon on how anyone interested can join the chili competition. 

Kirkwood UMC also informed everyone that its Play Café will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 3 p.m. at its gym. 

Play Café is an open gym time at the church after school. Parents can bring their kids to play from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Moreover, the children's choir will also resume on Jan. 11. Rehearsals are scheduled from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Kirkwood UMC shared that joining the choir would be an excellent time for kids to get involved at the start of the New Year. It added the choir would be happy to accept new members.

Per its website, Rev. Katie Trinter serves as the Lead Pastor, while Dr. Kyle Butler serves as Executive Director for LifeBridge. 

At the same time, Dolan Bayless is the Director of Traditional Music and Worship, Jeremy Melton the Director of Contemporary Worship and Youth Ministries, and Carol Fischer is the Director of Connection. 

Church Kids

As shared on its website, the church values children and aims to establish an environment for them and their families to pray, read and learn Scripture, and worship.

Furthermore, it aims to create a space for them to serve while having fun and growing spiritually.
