As an exciting next step in their spiritual development, all brand-new third graders will get their Bibles on this particular Sunday, according to the church's post.

If their fourth- or fifth-grader has not received a Bible from Paradise Valley United Methodist Church yet, they are more than welcome to join this year.

All children who received a Bible, their families, and the third through fifth students will go to the Fellowship Center following the presentation to take part in Bible Blast, a series of enjoyable games, and a Biblical scavenger hunt throughout the campus, the church said.

According to the church, they bring this to life by promoting the knowledge of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ, establishing a community where individuals may connect with one another and share a common belief and a desire to know and serve God, and giving people the chance to participate in their community in significant and meaningful ways.

Church’s History

The residents of this town have been served by PVUMC for more than 50 years, the church said

A collection of people and families from Central Phoenix decided to start a Methodist church in the northeastern Valley in 1960, according to the church’s website.

The church said a group first congregated at Cudia City Studio.

They eventually acquired a 15-acre plot of land west of Tatum and Lincoln, situated between Camelback Mountain to the south and the Phoenix Mountains to the north, it added.

The neighborhood was comparatively undeveloped at the time because of their founders' forethought in obtaining the land, the church has been able to expand over time and benefit from the beauty of the natural surroundings while also growing, according to the church.
