Sunrise United Methodist Church Phoenix, Arizona invited the public to Creation Care 101, a free fall program.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aug. 23, the church said participants would take part in an exciting initiative on the path to restoring faith, justice, and creation with congregations all over the nation.
According to the church’s post, each event will last 1.5 hours and include presentations from eminent theologians and scientists, motivational church stories, facilitated heart-led conversations, and tools for real-world application.
Sunrise United Methodist Church Phoenix said the program will start in September with eight sessions and one session per month.
It will be free and live via Zoom and will be facilitated by the second Thursday of each month, the church said.
The church said sessions are 1.5 hours and live both at 7 p.m.
According to the church, Sept. 8, is scheduled for "Faith, Science and Creation Care." On Oct. 13, the church will hold focus on "Eating: Theology of Food," while Nov. 10 is for "Hosting: Honorable Gatherings."
On the other hand, the church will focus on "Purchasing: Living Simply and Justly" on Dec. 8, and "Regenerating: Soil, Compost, Waste" on Jan. 12. Consequently, Feb. 9 is set for "Reframing: Water and Energy," while March 9 is for Planting: Gardens and Spaces. Finally, April 13 will cover "Planning: Pulling it Together."
