The Atlanta First United Methodist Church in Georgia invited the public to join the Atlanta United FC game on July 9.

In a Facebook post, the Atlanta First United Methodist Church encouraged the public to join the church for an Atlanta United FC game on Saturday, July 9.

According to the church’s post, everyone has the opportunity to join Atlanta First United Methodist Church for an Atlanta United FC game on Saturday, July 9 as part of Summer in the City with Atlanta First United Methodist Church and in conjunction with our forthcoming Ted Lasso Worship Series (stay tuned).

The church said at 7 p.m., the hometown team will face Austin FC. At 5:30 p.m., everyone will gather at the church and walk or Uber to the stadium together (about a 25-minute walk).

Tickets are only $15 per person, according to the church. Interested participants may register online.

They can pay now with a credit card, or come by or mail a check to the church by July 3.

Call for Executive Assistant to Lead Pastor or Office Manager

The Atlanta First United Methodist Church is seeking a lead pastor's executive assistant or office manager.

The United Methodist Church posted on Facebook on Tuesday, June 7 that it needs to hire an executive assistant to the head pastor or an office manager.

The church is looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, loves all people, enjoys learning, is proficient in office technology, and wants to join a creative and imaginative team dedicated to the church's mission of worshiping God, serving people, growing together, and engaging Atlanta and beyond, according to the church's post.

The lead pastor's main point of contact, according to the church, is the executive assistant to the pastor or office manager (EA). The EA is the church's office manager and the congregation, church personnel, community members, and the lead pastor's principal point of contact.

The EA is also responsible for the organization and management of the lead pastor's office, which includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, communication, travel, reimbursements and budget, the leadership team, and worship execution.

According to the church's post, this is a full-time hybrid role that requires love for all of God's people, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both remotely and in person.

At Atlanta First United Methodist Church, a new series on the Gospel of Disney's "Encanto" has begun.

On Friday, June 3, the Atlanta First United Methodist Church stated on Facebook that in-person and online worship will begin at 10 a.m. every Sunday.

This Sunday, Pentecost, the Christian Church's formal birthday, and the person in charge of working and interacting with the community, Jay Burnshorton, lectures on Acts 2: 121, "The Miracle of Salvation."
