The Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold an advocacy training on Monday, Jan. 31.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Jan. 22, the Central Presbyterian Church said it will host an advocacy training for a better Georgia on Monday at 7 p.m. via Zoom meeting.

According to the post, Georgia's future will be shaped by lawmakers from throughout the state who will gather for the General Assembly's 2022 legislative session.

The church said this is shaping up to be a busy - and maybe contentious - legislative session.

The Central Presbyterian Church invited the public to join Presbyterians for a Better Georgia for its annual Advocacy Training event on Monday, Jan. 31.

The church said this year's training will provide an opportunity to learn about the issues that are expected to be debated in the legislature, as well as how their voice as a citizen can influence the state's policies.

It added that this event will leave the public the feeling of being prepared to be a successful advocate in their community, regardless of their level of expertise.

Church Reopened Offices

The Central Presbyterian Church has announced that its offices reopened on Monday, Jan. 3.

The Central Presbyterian Church announced in a Facebook post on Monday, Dec. 27, that its church offices temporarily closed. 

The church employees were given time to relax and revitalize for the New Year, according to the post.

The church reopened on Monday, Jan. 3, according to the church's website.

Church Donates New Winter Jackets, Food Packs

The Central Presbyterian Church donated over 90 new winter jackets and food packs in celebration of Christmas.

On Sunday, Dec. 26, the Central Presbyterian Church announced on Facebook that it had donated over 90 new winter jackets to surrounding villages.

According to the church, it also provides a delicious hot meal prepared by the FOCUS group, as well as THRIVE-donated shoes and bags.

They also expressed their gratitude to all of the Central volunteers who came out to help them celebrate the event.

The Central Presbyterian Church's outreach advocacy members had their annual Christmas celebration.

The Presbyterian church posted a video of their annual holiday celebration on Facebook on Friday, Dec. 17.

The church also thanked the volunteers, donors, and countless others who contributed to the success of the event.

Executive leaders from the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center offered their comments on the ending event in a video produced by the church.

On Sunday, Dec. 12, the public was welcomed to Central Presbyterian Church for fellowship activities and the "Alternative Christmas" market.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Central Presbyterian Church announced a number of enjoyable and fellowship-filled events.

The church held caroling in the Courtyard at 9:30 a.m., according to the post.

Attendees can shop, donate to a great charity, and mingle while enjoying excellent food and refreshments.
