The Embry Hills United Methodist Church holds school services for children and youth every Sunday.

According to the church's website, Embry Hills United Methodist Church announced that it held children and youth Sunday classes.

The church's website said that students from Grade 5 would meet outside the education entrance for children's Sunday school.

The Embry Hills invited the learners to come and join Stephanie and Lori for some outdoor fun.

The children were also encouraged to wear play clothes and tennis shoes, the church noted. Parents may contact Stephanie Train at children@embryhillsumc.org for concerns and clarifications.

Meanwhile, Embry Hills also encouraged teenagers to join for fellowship time and discuss future topics for youth Sunday discussion. Interested participants may contact Victoria Stoddard at youth@embryhillsumc.org for any questions and concerns.

The church also encouraged ages 30 to 40 to discuss the theological implications of current events.

According to the website, lessons are done every week so participants can join as they are able.

Interested groups may contact Lisa Jones at lisa@tsdatlanta.com for further inquiries and clarifications.

However, the church noted that everyone over the age of 3 must wear facemasks while inside the building. It stated that this includes Sunday school classes and small groups.

'Trunk or Treat'

The Embry Hills United Methodist Church will host a "trunk or treat" event for the community on Sunday, Oct. 31.

The United Methodist Church invited the public to a safe and socially distant Halloween party in a Facebook post.

Participants might join and show off their innovative and colorful costumes, according to the church. There will be activities and a "trunk or treat" at the event.

They also stated that nut-free candy would be provided in some trunks and labeled for individuals who require them.

According to the post, people of all ages are welcome to attend, and they are encouraged to invite their neighbors and friends.

The church said all trunks for the event would be put up in front of the church's parking lots, so participants should park their cars in the back of the lot.

Meanwhile, all participants above the age of three must wear face masks. While at the occasion, the Embry Hills also stressed the importance of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) measures.

On the other hand, the church stated that they would constantly watch the weather the week of the event, as it will be held outside.

It recommended attendees consult the church's website for a contingency plan in case of adverse weather.

In-person Worship

According to the Embry Hills website, the church will keep a particular amount of space between groups and enlist the attendees' cooperation to do so.

Meanwhile, the church said it would not provide food or beverages in the building for the time being, and visitors are asked not to bring them in.

It's also a good idea for participants to stay at home if they've been exposed to COVID in the previous 10 to 14 days, get tested positive for COVID in the next two weeks, or aren't feeling well.
