First Baptist Church Atlanta
First Baptist Church of Atlanta is a thriving community of followers of Jesus Christ, according to its website.
The church, established in 1848 in the center of Atlanta, has been a beacon for Christ during both the most trying periods in American history and the darkest periods in the city's history, the about page reads.
It became clear that there wasn't enough room to accommodate future growth as the church continued to draw large crowds to its downtown position, the site bared.
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, FBA discontinued regular worship sessions in March 2020 and started a live stream broadcast through their website, the page revealed.

With Dr. Stanley's retirement, the Pastoral Succession Plan was fully implemented, leading to Dr. Anthony George's appointment as the church's next Senior Pastor, per the website.
