The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia invited the public to join special men’s prayer breakfast on Friday, May 20.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 10, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta announced that it will hold a special men’s prayer breakfast.

According to the church’s post, coach Bill Curry, former Georgia State University head football coach, and ESPN analyst will talk.

The church said tickets are $20 and earnings will assist Coach Curry's wife, Caroline, and her ministry, Women Alone Together.

Explore James Bryan Smith’s Book

The public was allowed to read James Bryan Smith's book "The Good and Beautiful God" at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church.

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta announced on Tuesday, May 3, that Join the Way will run until May 22.

According to the church, Rev. Chris Holmes is studying James Bryan Smith's book "The Good and Beautiful God," with class themes including sleep, counting your blessings, margin, and slowing down.

On Sundays at 10 a.m., the church said to gather in the Bride's Room. as they study these important Christian disciplines in preparation for the summer.

Another Bach’s Lunch

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta will hold another Bach's Lunch on Friday, May 13.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, April 28, the First Presbyterian Church welcomed the public to another Bach's Lunch with the American String Quartet and ECMSA Artistic Director William Ransom.

The American String Quartet will perform one of Bach's most dazzling chamber compositions with ECMSA Artistic Director William Ransom, according to the church's release.

Church’s New Youth Choir

A new youth chorus has been founded at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church.

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta announced the formation of a new youth choir in a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 26.

Every Sunday at 4:30 p.m., they meet. According to the church's website, the youth group met in the choir rehearsal area before the youth group.

According to the church, no prior experience is required, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Participation provided possibilities for performance and, as the choir grew, future choral tours, according to the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performed at the First Presbyterian Church last Saturday at 8 p.m., according to a Facebook post on the church's page on Wednesday, April 6.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jerry Hou and coordinated by Jens Korndörfer, performed Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony and Poulenc's Organ Concerto, according to the church.

This was a one-time occurrence, according to the First Presbyterian Church.
