The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia appealed to the public for donations for its food drive.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 5, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta encouraged the public for canned goods for the church’s food pantry.
According to the church’s post, the Community Ministries is holding a canned food collection from Sunday, March 20 to Sunday, April 24 in honor of March Madness.
The church appealed to donate as many canned goods as possible to the church’s food bank.
Drop off will be near the reception desk in the Smith Building, according to the church’s post.
They may place their donations in the appropriate bin such as Rebekah in Bunny Ears (Bin 1) and Jens in Bunny Ears (Bin 2).
The church said the winners will be determined by the amount of money donated.
Among the needed food items are 15 ounces of corn, sweet peas, baked beans, collards, mixed vegetables, fruits, canned spam, canned chicken, tuna, and salmon, corn flakes, grits, oats, saltine crackers, ketchup, and salt and pepper shakers.

Church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The public is welcome to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church.
The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta welcomed the public to join the annual First Presbyterian Church Easter Egg Hunt at Winn Park in the Ansley area on Monday, April 4 for plenty of fun, laughter, and camaraderie, according to a Facebook post.
The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. from 11 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own baskets to the celebration, according to the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.
If it rains, the event will be moved to Fifield Hall. According to the church, coffee and breakfast specialties are available.
