The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia has invited the public to join the sermon series “Characters at the Cross: Pontius Pilate.”

In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 6, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta encouraged the public to join in the first Sunday of Lent and part one of its sermon series, "Characters at the Cross: Pontius Pilate.”

The church said the sermon series, "Characters at the Cross: Pontius Pilate” was led by Rev. Rebekah LeMon.

Among the in-person worship times were 8:30, 9:10, and 11 a.m. They can also watch the in-person worship via livestream at 9:10 a.m. and 11 a.m., according to the church.

 Live streaming is available on YouTube, Facebook, and the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta’s website at https://www.firstpresatl.org/livestream.

Vacation Bible School 2022

Registration for Vacation Bible School 2022 has opened at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church.

The First Presbyterian Church announced on Sunday, March 6, that registration for vacation bible school 2022 is now open.

According to the church's post, 3-year-olds through rising 5th-graders will have an interactive, stimulating, Bible-based good time on their quest for God's dazzling light.

They will become explorers, the church claimed, understanding how God's light shines on them and how they might reflect it in their daily lives.

Preschool Seeking For New Director

The Atlanta First Presbyterian Preschool is hiring a new director.

On Saturday, Feb. 26, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta posted on Facebook that it was hiring a new preschool director.

According to the post from the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, the director would be in charge of developing a developmentally appropriate and interesting curriculum for children ages 18 months to Kindergarten.

All tasks and job activities are performed in line with the First Presbyterian Preschool concept and standards, as well as the Cognia Standards for Early Childhood Programs, according to the church.

Church’s Concert

On Wednesday, Feb. 23, the public was invited to Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church for a "Masterworks Concert."

Lead flute Christina Smith and the Georgia State University Symphony Orchestra performed at the "Masterworks Concert," according to the church.

The Concerts@First music series at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church promises a great evening jam-packed with musical excellence.

According to the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta's website, Michael Palmer led the University Symphony Orchestra in a concert of music from three centuries, including George Walker's String Lyric, Haydn's Symphony #104, and J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto.

Violin Concerto by Bach Two of Bach's most well-known pieces is the Brandenburg Concerto and the Cello Concerto.
