The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia has opened its applications for a two-year program “Living Theology” for those exploring their faith and spiritual life more deeply.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 22, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta said the “Living Theology” program is open for applications until Sunday, April 10.

According to the church, friends, family, work, anxiety, hope, desire, and fear are all connected to faith and spirituality in the Living Theology Program.

Anyone who wants to learn more about their faith and spiritual life can enroll in this two-year program, the church said.

Samaritan Counseling Center

The public is invited to a celebration of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta's 20 years of service, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.

The Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta will be conducted on Thursday, March 31, according to a Facebook post by the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta on Monday, March 21.

The Atlanta Samaritan Counseling Center will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a great breakfast buffet and a celebration program, according to the church.

According to the church, interested attendees can use this link to purchase tickets, reserve seats, and join in the celebration.

Sunday Breakfast Gatherings

In March, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta asked for volunteers to help with Sunday Prayer Breakfasts.

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta stated on Facebook on Saturday, March 12, that it is searching for volunteers for Sunday Prayer Breakfast activities in Fifield Hall this March.

Volunteers offered food and hospitality to people in need in the community, according to the church's announcement.

The arrival time, according to the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, is 6 a.m. By 8 a.m., the cleanup had been done.

First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta’s Vacation Bible School

Registration for Vacation Bible School 2022 is now open at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church.

The First Presbyterian Church announced on Sunday, March 6 that registration for Vacation Bible School 2022 is now open.

On their journey for God's bright light, 3-year-olds to rising 5th-graders will have an interactive, stimulating, Bible-based fun time, according to the church's announcement.

They will become explorers, the church stated, learning how God's light shines on them and how to reflect it in their daily lives.

A new director is needed at Atlanta First Presbyterian Preschool.

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta posted on Facebook on Saturday, Feb. 26 that it was looking for a new preschool director.

According to a post from the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, the director would be in charge of establishing a developmentally appropriate and exciting curriculum for children aged 18 months to Kindergarten.

Stephen Ministry Training

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta will offer a new Stephen Ministry Training beginning Sept. 12.

The church announced on Facebook on Friday, March 18 that a new Stephen Ministry Training cohort will begin on Monday evenings commencing Sept. 12.

According to the church, they can learn the ideas and abilities needed to provide high-quality, Christ-centered emotional and spiritual care to others.
