First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta to hold 'Art in Motion' with music, dance accompaniment

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia announced that it would hold an "Art in Motion" event with music and dance accompaniment on Saturday, Oct. 23.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Oct. 22, the First Presbyterian Church said the Art in Motion event is a unique artistic collaboration featuring music from Okorie "OkCello" Johnson and dance by Ballethnic Dance Company.

According to the post, the artistic event will be held on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The church advised participants to bring a lawn chair and invite friends for the evening music and celebration. It underscored that the African sculptures and paintings also inspired the event at East Point City Hall.

Piano and Organ Concert

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta will also hold a piano and organ concert on Friday, Oct. 29.

According to its Facebook post, the church welcomed the public to a "Battle of the Keys" piano and organ concert on Friday at 8 p.m.

The church said the attendees might enjoy Beethoven's Emperor Concerto arranged for piano and organ, and a world premiere piece Poème Rhapsodique by David Briggs, performed by Julie Coucheron and Jens Korndörfer.

According to the church's Facebook post, the event will also be livestreamed on Concerts@First.
