The mission of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church is to love God and love others with all of our beings, including our heart, mind, soul, and strength, according to the church's website.
The church said it thinks that everyone has intrinsic worth and dignity as a part of God's creation, just as Jesus loved those around him.
Regardless of color, culture, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or socioeconomic status, education, politics, physical or mental ability, or religious background, everyone is welcome all people into the entire life and ministry of the community, according to the church.
By sharing the good news of God's grace and living out Jesus' teaching to love one's neighbor as oneself, the church seeks to bring about God's dominion and realm in the world, according to the church.
It is accomplished by making disciples of Jesus Christ for the change of the world, the church said.
The vision Scripture presents to us is the completion of God's reign and realm in the world, it added.
The church said Jesus Christ is recognized by the United Methodist Church as the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all.
It said that it respects people of all religious beliefs as they develop disciples, and they stand up for freedom of religion for everybody.
Christian Community

These societies later moved to Ireland and eventually to America, where they were formally recognized as a separate denomination in 1784, the church said.
Today, there are around 11 million United Methodists in the world, it added.
Social responsibility and religion have always been intertwined for United Methodists, according to the church.
