The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia held the first showing of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” show.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Feb. 26, the Glenn Youth cast put on a fantastic debut performance of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” last night.

The church said tickets for the three remaining concerts are still available at the door: on Feb. 26 at 2 p.m., tonight at 7:30 p.m., and Feb 27 at 2 p.m.

Adult tickets are $15, while children under the age of 18 are $10, according to the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church.

The church said it is open to the public.

Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church’s In-person Worship Service

The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church said on its website that it is concerned about the community's health and safety.

The church stated that it is actively monitoring the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and is taking precautions to prevent the virus from spreading.

Following Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church’s COVID-19 procedures, all persons entering the facilities (regardless of vaccination status) must wear masks.

According to the church’s website, an in-person congregation is open to everyone. On the playground, there is child care, while children over the age of two must wear masks.

The Little Chapel is open at 8:30 a.m. Service in the Sanctuary at 11 a.m. The Gathering in the Fellowship Hall begins at 5 p.m.

Ministry Through Music

The Chancel Choir, which is made up of both amateur and professional musicians, tries to provide excellent musical leadership during the 11 a.m., according to the church’s website.

The church said the worship Service while maintaining the basic idea of being open and welcoming to individuals of all abilities. Its primary function is to lead worship at 11 a.m. with vocal leadership.

On Sunday mornings, there is a service. In addition, the choir does special concerts for the Atlanta community.

The Chancel Choir forms Men's and Women's Ensembles for special musical events throughout the year, according to the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church's website.
