The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, is set to hold an advent food drive for the holiday season.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 16, the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church encouraged the public to collect and donate food for those in need in this advent season.

The church said all non-perishable foods are accepted for the food drive.

According to the post, it mainly needed cereal and non-perishable milk.

The church said the advent season is a time of expectation and preparation for the gift of Christmas.

According to the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, the donations can be dropped off at the church offices anytime and directly at Intown Collaborative Ministries.

Advent Wreath-Making Event

The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church has invited the public to participate in an Advent wreath-making event on Sunday, Nov. 28.

The church asked the public to participate in an advent wreath crafting project for the upcoming Advent and Christmas season in a Facebook post on Thursday, Nov. 11.

The event will occur in the amphitheater on Sunday, Nov. 28 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. if there isn't any bad weather.

According to the church, friends and relatives of all ages are invited to attend and help assemble the wreath.

The suggested donation to the church, according to the article, is around $10 per kit.

Participants were urged to make their reservations for making advent wreaths.

According to Glenn Memorial, they were also welcome to stay for the first Sunday of Advent worship in The Gathering at 5 p.m. Following that, there will be a gathering in the Fellowship Hall.

Face masks are essential for youngsters aged two and higher, according to the church.

Youth Fellowship
