The Glenn Memorial United Methodist in Atlanta, Georgia, held a special Halloween edition of outdoor children's choir and Sunday school.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Oct. 30, the Glenn Memorial United Methodist said worship was held in the little chapel with Rev. Mark Westmoreland, who preached at 8:30 a.m.
According to the post, the event was followed by an adult Sunday school via Zoom: The New Class with Max Miller and children's masked music-making of outdoor children's choirs at 9:30 a.m.
The church said an outdoor adult Sunday School: The Glenn Next Community on Sanctuary Steps was also held at 9:45 a.m.
It added that worship in the sanctuary was hosted, which was preached by Rev. Mark Westmoreland at 11 a.m.
The church said that the gathering contemporary service in the fellowship hall was held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the church said.
The Glenn Memorial United Methodist advised children to wear fun costumes and dress warmly.
The church said the worship services were available online on Facebook live and Youtube.
Meanwhile, it added that children on the playground for worship services and masks were required for all ages, who were two years old and older.
Pumpkin Patch
The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church conducted a meet-and-greet "Pumpkin Patch" event as part of its team-building activities on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
The Methodist church announced the Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in a Facebook post on Monday, Oct. 18.
According to the post, the attendees were asked to wear face masks to have safe interactions with old acquaintances and meet new ones.
The church also said it welcomed fellow retirees who had made the church their home in previous years.
The Glenn Church had previously asked attendees to bring money to help the Glenn Youth Ministry purchase pumpkins. During the pumpkin farm events, it said the participants liked the Autumn weather.
Importance of Youth Development
According to the church's website, the Glenn Youth aims to provide a safe environment for adolescents in grades 6 through 12 to be themselves, ask questions, have fun, and learn.
The church also recognized the importance of youth development and strove to foster an environment that encouraged it. It also emphasized the need to build mutual trust and bonds.
The Glenn Youth group welcomes, accepts, and accepts everyone, and it works to help others in our neighborhood and around the world.
