Intown Lutheran Church partners with the Love Not Lost organization to offer free pictures for families with critical illnesses.

The church’s website noted that they also work with them to provide grief counseling and assistance.

Loving Atlanta

The same website stressed that Intown Lutheran Church shows its love for Atlanta through its initiatives. They serve in the community and partner with other organizations to take the opportunity to volunteer, as further explained on the website.

Love Not Lost

According to the organization’s website, Love Not Lost secures those grieving who are still loved and supported. One of their programs is to preserve memories through training photographers and being there for families dealing with critical illness.

The website explained that donations from their supporters help them to create priceless memories that families could cherish for generations to come.

Besides, the organization added that these pictures make a safe venue to grieve, heal, and still feel joyful after losing their loved ones.

Moreover, Love Not Lost creates a community where people can grieve and heal together. They believe that they could achieve this initiative online. They stated that they could continue offering resources and education for the families through the gifts of those who support them.

In addition, these donations could allow them to expand their capacity to serve families and change those who are hurting. The website said that they conduct this program through The Love Well.

More importantly, the organization highlighted its Corporate Care Program, wherein they believe they must leave their feelings at the door. They stated that support enables them to train leaders to make caring cultures in the workplace to assist individuals in healing at work.

Founder’s Story of Healing

The same website revealed that the Love Not Lost organization started when Ashley Jones, the founder and executive director, lost her daughter Skylar due to a terminal condition. She mentioned that she was so affected by her grief and depression.

As further noted, she experienced healing through their family pictures. She emphasized that these images made her a safe venue to grieve and free to be whatever she needed at that moment.

In addition, Jones said that the tangible images offered her comfort, a process to carry on with her connection with her daughter. She stressed on the website, “They allowed me to hold Skylar when she wasn’t here to hold.”

Moreover, Jones added that she wanted to gift that feeling to other people, so she started offering portrait sessions to families dealing with a critical diagnosis. She said that in every session, she could feel something more significant.

She highlighted that taking their pictures is a way to capture love, not their loss.

Jones encouraged others to give to continue to offer these priceless pictures and help others heal.

Way of Grieving

In another section, Love Not Lost emphasized that its mission is to change the process of grieving in America. They explained that they began taking pictures of people dealing with a terminal diagnosis to preserve beautiful memories for those they love.

The website said that as they take photos, they hear the same stories from a lot of families.
