The children members of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia have created Valentine’s Day cards for the church community members.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Feb. 18, the St. Paul United Methodist Church said the children members of the church during the service have created cards for those members in the congregation.

According to the church’s post, they made cards for those members of the congregation who have not been able to return to in-person worship for different reasons.

The St. Paul United Methodist Church said those who know some of them may send an email to annie@stpaulgrantpark.org.

Several children send out plenty of nice cards to the community members. Even though Valentine's Day was on Monday, it was not an excuse to stop showing God's love.

St. Paul United Methodist Church’s History

According to its website, the St. Paul United Methodist Church is located in Grant Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods.

The crossroads of Grant and Sydney Streets, according to the church's website, has been a focal place for prayer, fellowship, and community for 115 years.

Open minds, hearts, and doors are prized in the United Methodist Church.

St. Paul offers worship and a variety of Sunday classes on Sundays at 10 a.m. Children are welcome at any time, according to the church's website.

Starting at 10 a.m., there will be a variety of activities. There is also a nursery available until 12 p.m. for infants and toddlers. It's on the third floor, at the back right corner of the gym. Infants and toddlers are welcome in the nursery. On Sundays, the church has a fantastic childcare team that enjoys spending time with other children.

Meanwhile, children's Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 10:50 a.m. in the gymnasium. Attendance is open to all children in grades three through five. The St. Paul's gym is located on the third floor.

Donating Goods for Ministries

The St. Paul United Methodist Church has invited the community to show their love by contributing items to the church's ministries.

St. Paul United Methodist Church announced in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Feb. 15, that the public can demonstrate their love by bringing canned items to contribute to Intown Collaborative Ministries for individuals who missed out on Valentine's Day.

There is still time to drop off donations outside of the Sydney, St. Dr. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, according to the church's post.

Peanut butter in single-serve size, SPAM, canned chicken, fruit cups, ramen noodles, peanut butter, cereal, shelf-stable milk, tuna packets, poptop veggies, snack products, canned soup, instant oatmeal and grits, instant coffee, and jelly, according to the Paul United Methodist Church.

In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy, the St. Paul United Methodist Church assisted at the Andrew P. Stewart Center's after-school children's program.

The church stated on Facebook on Tuesday, Jan. 18, that it had packed food bags for the children's after-school program. They cleaned up the yard and built a five-unit apartment structure to house a large number of families.

In a second Facebook post, the Andrew P. Stewart Center praised the church for spending time remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy.

The facility expressed gratitude to the community for its continuing support and help.
