The Neighborhood Church in Atlanta, Georgia held a small gathering for fellowship discussion.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 7, in cooperation with Compassionate Atlanta, it organized a small group meeting on Monday nights to work through The Racial Healing Handbook together.
The church said it held its inaugural gathering last week, and it was a time of joyful camaraderie and insightful conversation.
The church encouraged people to pick up a copy of the book and was happy to talk to them about it at any time for those who have not been able to join the group.
It added to keep an eye out for further advice and exercises that emerge from the lessons that the group learns and discusses.

Church’s Blood Donation Drive
On Wednesday, Feb. 16, the Neighborhood Church will have a blood donation drive in the sanctuary.
The Neighborhood Church claimed in a Facebook post on Friday, Jan. 28, that the Red Cross has been proclaiming a catastrophic blood shortage across the country for the previous few weeks, the lowest supply in years.
Those who are eligible and feel comfortable donating blood can sign up for the church's next blood drive, which will begin at 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the sanctuary of the Neighborhood Church.
The stations are far apart, and masks are required. The church claims to have Wifi in the Sanctuary, allowing donors to work or browse while giving. Of course, there are also free snacks.
According to the church, the sponsor code is "neighborhood," so people can easily find the sign-up on redcrossblood.org.

Church’s Discussion on Racial Healing,Peace Building
A discussion session on racial reconciliation and peacebuilding was held in the Neighborhood Church, according to the announcement.
On Tuesday, Jan. 18, the Neighborhood Church announced that it would be sponsoring a Compassionate Atlanta program called Racial Healing and Peacebuilding Discussion.
According to the post, they worked through the Racial Healing Handbook together.
The church said the event was open to the public.
According to the Neighborhood Church, the event will be held on Zoom, and anyone from anywhere can attend.
The event took place at 7 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 31 to April 11. It is open until 8:30 p.m. every Monday. At 7 p.m., the first session will begin. On April 4, there will be no session from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
According to the church, it is free, save for the purchase of the book, which is approximately $25.
If this is a barrier to their participation, the Neighborhood Church has volunteered to supply a book.
