The Neighborhood Church in Atlanta, Georgia, held a Christmas at home worship service on Sunday, Dec. 26.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Dec. 23, the Neighborhood Church announced that it wouldn’t have an in-person worship service on Sunday, Dec. 26.

The church, however, invited the attendees to worship from the comfort of their respective homes.

According to the post, the church will put a short reflection video on its Facebook and YouTube accounts.

The Neighborhood Church said that they might also spend time in their own meaningful way, adding that it may be an extra hour of sleep, making pancakes with extra toppings, and spending time journaling and reflecting using a Christmas devotional book.

The church said they might find meaning in creative ways this holiday season.

Church’s Pop-up Pageant

The Neighborhood Church held this year's pop-up pageant on Friday, Dec. 17.

The Neighborhood Church welcomed the public to attend this year's pop-up pageant on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in a Facebook post on Thursday, Dec. 9.

For those who haven't been before, it will be a delightful time to tell the Christmas story in a new way, complete with music, costumes, and acting, and with children as the stars of the show.

There is no need to prepare beforehand, and anybody is invited to participate. They will gather in Candler Park, and costumes will be provided when they get there. The church will cancel the event in case of inclement weather.

‘Fall Fest’

The Neighborhood Church held a "Fall Fest" at the Lake Claire Holiday Fair on Sunday, Dec. 5. The church announced the Fall Fest in a Facebook post, adding that it was a great festival day.

According to the church, the event started around 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Lake Claire Holiday Fair on Arizona Street.

The church said attendees were also encouraged to try some of the area's specialties and shop for gifts from local shops.

In the neighborhood of Neighborhood Church, the event was hailed as a "pleasant and beautiful day."

Music Video

The Neighborhood Church has also encouraged people to participate in recording a new music video.

Last Wednesday, Oct. 27, the Neighborhood Church announced on Facebook that their band was working on a new music video for their latest song, which will be published early next year.

According to the post, the church is looking for volunteers to help with the ongoing project. They said that no rehearsals were required. On the other hand, making good music together will be a prerequisite.

Advent Series

According to the church, the "Close to Home" Advent series was conducted every Sunday at the Neighborhood Church.

The Neighborhood Church announced on Facebook on Friday, Nov. 26, that it hosted an Advent series called "Close to Home" by A Sanctified Art LLC to help walk through the steps of establishing and re-creating homes.

According to the post, the series discussed what it means to be homesick and how to choose and construct a new home that is open to all and brings God closer to the people.

The Neighborhood Church said that once Advent begins, it greatly impacts people close to home.
