The North Avenue Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has called for volunteers to provide breakfast in the homeless communities.

According to the church's website, the North Avenue Presbyterian Church invited volunteers to join the Feet on the Street Ministries to serve the homeless people in the community on Sunday mornings with breakfast and hot showers.

The church said it would set to provide breakfast for at least 20 people in the community.

During these cold months, the North Avenue Presbyterian Church would appreciate hot prepared meals and encouraged to include a meat element.

The Presbyterian Church said the volunteers could also provide home-cooked meals or store-bought food.

The church advised volunteers to deliver the food and ready to eat to the upper parking deck of the North Avenue between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

'Trick or Treat'

The North Avenue Presbyterian Church will host a "Trick or Treat" event celebrating Halloween on Monday, Nov. 1.

According to its Facebook post, the church has invited the public to a "Trick or Treat" event on Monday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The church described the program as a "fun, safe, and easy way" for local kids to trick or treat.

If there is no inclement weather, the celebration will be conducted on the church's upper parking deck, the post read.

The church said that if poor weather persists, the event will be placed in the lower parking deck.

The North Avenue Presbyterian said the event would be free for the public.

Free Voter Education Event

Meanwhile, the North Avenue Presbyterian Church also hosted a free voter education event on Monday, Oct. 25.

According to its Facebook post, the church hosted a Fulton County voter education outreach's voter education classes ahead of the upcoming November municipal election cycle.

The post read the class, titled "Voter Knowledge is Power," took place on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.

It said the classes and parking were free and open to the public.

According to the post, the class also explained Georgia elected officials' roles and obligations and how their actions affect the public's daily life.

The church said voters would also learn more about new voting legislation and changes in voting rights.

The North Avenue Presbyterian Church underscored that this voter education class was an excellent way to learn more about elections and elected officials.

The meeting took place in North Avenue Presbyterian Church's Overlook area, 607 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia.

The participants were required to wear a facemask and maintain social distance during the class.

Blood Donation Drive

The North Avenue Presbyterian Church held a blood drive to render assistance in the country's blood shortage on Thursday, Sept. 30.

According to its Facebook post, the qualifying donors were encouraged to donate blood in the gym of the North Avenue Presbyterian Church.

The North Avenue Presbyterian Church has also acknowledged the country's severe blood supply shortage caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to a Facebook post, the church also sought public help during difficult times.
