North Avenue Presbyterian Church (NAPC) will hold its Pop-up Mission Conference on Sunday, Feb. 19.
The church’s website announced that Kendra Jeffreys, the Executive Director of Friends of Refugees, their mission partner, would be the guest speaker.
Missions
In another section, North Avenue Presbyterian Church revealed a rich legacy of missions. They explained they formed their strategic efforts in 2013, focusing on engaging in the city and working with the Global Church.
Moreover, the church is also befriending internationals, as the website notes. They stated that these efforts allow the NAPC community to participate in projects and connections locally and globally.
According to the same website, being part of the NAPC community of believers, they could serve in various ways. They said they could join projects and work with the people on the streets.
Besides, the church could also extend its love and care for the children in a homeless shelter and conduct outreach activities for international students. Also, the website said that members could experience mission trips through their partnerships.

The church emphasized the Scripture from Matthew 5:14, which says, “You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”

Mission of Friends of Refugees
The organization’s homepage revealed that Friends of Refugees seeks to empower refugees by offering opportunities for well-being, education, and employment.
They explained that they had witnessed the results when women and children had a foundational education. They said that the whole family thrives for the next generations.
The desire to strengthen refugees and immigrants by offering employment opportunities. They want to achieve this by giving them computer access, job preparedness training, and social and professional networking programs.
