North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church called on the public to join the “Better Together Conference.”
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Oct. 8, the church said that it is time to submit their registration for the conference, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22.
The church said they may bring a team from their church to the two-day conference to learn how one of these tested models— strategic mergers, partnerships, restarts, establishing satellite campuses, or cooperative parishes— can bring two or more churches together in a positive and healthy process.
Dr. Jim Tomberlin, a co-author of the book "Better Together," will give the keynote address, according to the church.

Church’s Members
According to the website of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, there are 11 million members of the United Methodist Church worldwide who actively engage in our world to open hearts, minds, and doors.
The church said John Wesley and the early Methodists emphasized living a life of love and faith.
It was said that Unified Methodists still maintain this priority today.
North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church described it as a local branch of the denomination. According to the church, it is divided into eight smaller geographic areas known as “districts."
The church claimed that Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson is in charge of it.
Atlanta is where the conference is being held. The North Georgia Annual Conference is a gathering of clergy and lay members of the North Georgia Conference that takes place annually, typically in June, for business and worship, it continued.
Other Schools
According to the church, there are two United Methodist theological schools in the country (Candler School of Theology and Gammon Theological Seminary) as well as nine colleges and universities that are affiliated with United Methodists such as Andrew College, Clark Atlanta University, Emory University, LaGrange College, Oxford College, Paine College, Reinhardt University, Wesleyan College, and Young Harris College.
North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church claimed to have a thriving camp and retreat ministry, including Grow Day Camps held at various United Methodist churches and the Glisson Camp and Retreat Center near Dahlonega.
According to the church, related organizations include Aldersgate Homes/Collinswood, Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers, Wellroot Family Services, North Georgia Conference Housing and Homeless Council, Wesley Woods Senior Living, and others.
The church said it is composed of nearly 700 churches, more than 1,300 clergy, and 310,000 laypeople.
North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church works to increase the number of morally upright Christian leaders, engage in ministry with the underprivileged, promote global health, call for justice, respond to natural disasters, and fulfill the mission of the denomination, which is "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
The church said it is currently by far the largest United Methodist Conference in the country.
