The North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church invited the public for service loan forgiveness webinars.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 3, the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church said xlergy and staff of faith-based non-profit organizations may now be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Time is, however, of the essence, according to the church’s post.
The church said temporary rules that are more favorable expire on October 31.
According to the church’s post, Wespath is conducting a webinar to explain who qualifies, the application process, impending deadlines, and where to get practical advice on the next actions.
There will be two webinars available on May 9 at 3 p.m. and May 11 at 1:30 p.m. The public may register as early as possible.

Appointment Changes
As of Sunday, May 1, the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church will have full-time appointment changes.
Bishop Sue Haupert Johnson announced planned full-time appointment changes as of May 1 in a Facebook post from the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church on Monday, May 2.
The appointments will be made at the North Georgia Annual Conference, according to the church's post.
