The Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia invited the public to join for “Mark Your Mark” Day on Saturday, July 16.
In a Facebook post on Monday, June 27, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church said they will gather to spruce up the space while enjoying time together on July 16 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
According to the church’s post, projects will be available for all physical abilities and ages 13 and up.
The church said members will keep the work to three hours so they may still enjoy the weekend and get to know Rev. Carolyn Stephens, the church’s new pastor.
It added that other ways besides on-site assistance are available.
This is a fantastic chance for a group project in remembrance or in honor of someone who contributed to the development of Saint Mark as it is today, according to the post.
To help the volunteer teams organize, interested participants may fill out the sign-up form and should not hesitate to RSVP to the Facebook event so they can share any pertinent changes.

Church Sends Off Pastor Hansen
Rev. Jennifer Hansen, the associate pastor, has left Saint Mark United Methodist Church.
The Saint Mark United Methodist Church shared on Facebook on Sunday, June 12, that Rev. Jennifer Hansen, its associate pastor, has sent off.
According to a post from the church, Rev. Jennifer, who has been with the organization for nine years, will serve as the executive director of @glenumc.
Her reception, according to the church, started at 9:30 am. during Sunday School, in Wade Hall.
The Saint Mark United Methodist Church expressed the same desire for the general public to participate in celebrating Rev. Jennifer's final Sunday and to show her how much the Saint Mark community values her.

Pride Month Celebration
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month was observed at Saint Mark United Methodist Church.

According to the church's post, the congregation continues to embrace LGBTQ+ persons as members of the family both this month and throughout the year, shares queer triumphs and struggles, strives for equality for all people, and evaluates their progress while anticipating future challenges.
The church expressed their happiness at being there for LGBT families all year.
