The Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has invited the public to buy holiday evergreens to help its youth choir.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Nov. 3, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church has invited the public to support the Shallowford's youth choir by purchasing holiday evergreens.
The church said the sale ends on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
According to the post, all proceeds will go to the youth choir summer tour to Florida in 2022.
Shallowford Presbyterian Church's Tree Sale
The evergreen sold is of extraordinary quality and freshness, according to the church's website.
The church said the trees were cut from a nursery in North Carolina and sent the next day to this location. The website stated that a complete money-back guarantee backs every evergreen purchase.
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church said it would reimburse the consumers' money if they were not satisfied for whatever reason.
According to the website, interested buyers have until Tuesday, Nov. 16, to place their order online.
Evergreen goods include trees (6′-11′), wreaths (S/M/L plain or decorated), rope (5-yard lengths), and donations (send an extra gift to Shallowford's Youth Choir), according to the church's website.
The Shallowford will introduce contactless drive-thru pick-up in response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The church, however, noted that there is no option for delivery.
Worship Service
According to its website, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church is a faith community and congregation dedicated to worship, care, mission, and spiritual growth.
The church's website shared that a 30-minute service with scripture, hymns, and a sermon will be held in the chapel every Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
The church said early risers and those seeking a more intimate worship experience would enjoy this session.
In the meantime, it's at 9:30 a.m. during worship, and the church will give many chances for people of all ages to come together to learn about, understand, and apply faith in our daily lives through Sunday School Classes.
A sanctuary service with a full choir, guest instrumentalists, scripture, songs, and a sermon was held at 11 a.m. at the church. According to the church, this event will be streamed live on social media pages.
When it is safe to do so, guests, members, children, and friends from various areas are welcome to congregate in the Great Hall for fellowship and a shared meal, according to the Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
Community Concert
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church hosted a free community concert on Friday, Nov. 5. They said the free community concert in the church's sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
The church's Chancel Choir, soloists, and professional instrumental group, according to the church, performed a wonderful melody of inspirational songs.
According to the post, the celebration included joyful music, healing, poetry, and a goal to collect an offering for the International Rescue Committee of Atlanta.
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church said the uplifting event also exposed people's minds and spirits to the beauty and joy that music can provide, especially in tough times. The event was open to the public.
