Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold ‘Fall Kick Off’ on Aug. 7, Sunday.
On a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 26, the church said the event will return this year with members, friends, and neighbors of all ages.
According to the church’s post, the early worship in the chapel at 8:30 a.m. will be composed of scripture, hymns, a sermon, a special blessing of the bags, and other elements. These activities are expected to take place within the 30-minute service.
The church said early risers and those who like a more personal worship experience would love in the kick-off.
Shallowford Presbyterian Church said the Sunday school hour will be at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Classes are open for children, youth, and adults to join their individual Sunday School, observing an hour of instruction with a strong emphasis on community, joy, and faith.
The worship in the sanctuary will be at 11 a.m., which is a complete choir, special instrumentalists, scripture, hymns, a sermon, and a special blessing of the bags. These would all be included in the hour-long ceremony, according to the church.
The church said they may participate in live streaming worship at shallowford.org/sunday.
It added that at 12 noon, after service, church-goers may have lemonade and cookies to catch up with the brothers and sisters.

Discovering Shallowford Presbyterian Church
Three times a year, "Discovering Shallowford" classes are offered, giving the chance to learn about the congregation's mission and goals as well as what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century, according to the church’s website.
The church said these classes are also where they might start to feel at home in this congregation's life and ministry.
On the same website, the church said the session meets for two Sundays in a row from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
According to the church, all who declare Jesus Christ to be their Lord, acknowledge their dependency on God's grace, and intend to engage in the church's worship actively and mission are eligible to join.
Those who intend to join must let the church office know in advance, the church said.

Shallowford Presbyterian Church also cordially invites guests to join the spiritual family. The church said there are various options available for them.
The church said by Profession of Trust, guests may confirm their faith in Jesus Christ in front of the congregation and session of Shallowford. All baptisms carried out in the name of the Triune God are accepted by the Presbyterian Church (USA). The church said they would joyously baptize people during that certain Sunday's worship session if they had not yet been baptized.
The church also said that reaffirming trust in Jesus Christ will allow anyone to rejoin a Christian church if they have previously belonged to one but have not been active in recent years.
It added that they may transfer membership to those who already belong to another church. They can join the congregation by contacting Shallowford to ask for a letter of transfer of membership.
