The Shallowford Presbyterian School is looking for more teachers in its toddler classes.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Sept. 11, the Shallowford Presbyterian School said that the school is looking for more teachers who can teach toddler classes for two to four days.

The school has delayed the start of its classes because they have not yet found good quality teachers.

The post said the Presbyterian school is looking for teachers who have a heart for children and would like to be part of a half-day preschool ministry.

It underscored that the position is a perfect job for a parent of school-aged children, who need a part-time job and still be available after school.

The job can also fill a part of their day, the school wrote.

The position can also suit a retired educator who still wants to pour into children but not full-time.

Education Rooted in Community

According to its website, the Shallowford Presbyterian School's purpose is to nurture the whole child by accepting uniqueness and establishing an intellectual, spiritual, and social foundation.

The school caters toddlers to fifth graders, it stated.

The Shallowford Presbyterian School also provides a caring, secure atmosphere in which each child is valued, it added.

For over 50 years, the Shallowford Presbyterian School has nurtured thousands of children, many of whom have returned to enroll their children.

The Presbyterian school will add a 6th grade in the 2021 to 2022 school year. Its website noted that the school is also planning to add a grade each year until it reaches the 8th grade.

According to the school, its top goal is the health and safety of the Presbyterian school students and staff.

On Aug. 17, grade school pupils will return to campus. The pre-school plans will be released soon. Parents are encouraged to visit its website to see the school's plan to resume in-person instruction safely, it added.

School Registration

By Sept. 1, the children must be the age of the class they registered for, according to the school.

The school noted that parents registering more than one child would apply the earliest timestamp to all children in a family as long as they are no more than 10 minutes apart.

The parents are encouraged to apply to each child separately, it advised.

When the class is confirmed, they will notify the parents through email. Current families will be notified before Jan. 30, and non-current families will be notified on or after Jan. 30, the school stated.

The school said that within 24 hours (or one business day) of email confirmation, a non-refundable registration fee of $150 per child is due.

The instructions on how to pay the fee will be included in the confirmation email. Registration is not complete until this fee has been paid, it added.

The school said a non-refundable May 2022 tuition prepayment is required (applied to May 2022 tuition) by May 2021 or upon registration.

According to the school's website, the first day of preschool was on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
