St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia announced the opening of its basketball season.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Oct. 4, the church said the court will reopen shortly. 

According to the church’s post, registration for the 2023 St. Paul Basketball season is now open at www.stpaulrec.com.

The church said for the most recent information on the season, participants may check back or like and follow the St. Paul Recreation Facebook sites.

Participants who have any inquiries and concerns may send an email to recreation@stpaulgrantpark.org.

They may also visit St. Paul United Methodist Church’s Facebook post for additional information.

Spending Time with Kids

According to St. Paul United Methodist Church, the nursery staff looks forward to spending Sundays with the children.

Children's Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. All young children between the ages of three and five are, according to the church, welcome  within the gym

According to the church, the gym is located on the third level of St. Paul.

The St. Paul United Methodist Church website said adult Sunday school gets started at 10 a.m. at Fellowship's lecture hall. The church said that everyone who has completed the sixth grade and older is invited.

The Fellowship Hall, according to the church, is located on St. Paul's second level.

The church asserted that St. Paul provides numerous training programs in addition to its Sunday worship services at 10 a.m.

Children are always welcome, it said. At 10 a.m., the nursery is open for infants and young kids until noon.

St. Paul United Methodist Church reported that childcare is offered to start at 10 a.m.

The church, according to them, is situated on the gymnasium's third floor, close to the back right corner. It was stated that the nursery's primary target demographic is young children.

Open Communion

According to the United Methodist practice of "Open Communion," everyone is welcome at St. Paul who loves God, the principles of Jesus Christ, and the desire to live in peace with one another.

The church said that due to their principles and humility, they must acknowledge the inclusion of every group or anyone who is interested in their worship, their faith, or their services.

According to reports, St. Paul United Methodist Church prayed for God to reunite His people.

The church asserted that its decision to join the "Reconciling Ministries Network" was motivated by its commitment to serve and include everyone, regardless of color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, previous religious affiliation, place of origin, or economic circumstances.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Pride Festival is scheduled to take place at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

The church announced on Facebook that on Monday, Oct.10, a worship service for LGBTQ people will be held in the church sanctuary.

A lively Pride worship service will be held in the church at 11 a.m., after which the congregation will drive downtown to line up for the Pride Parade where they will march alongside other United Methodists in North Georgia.
