The St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, supported the after-school children program of Andrew P. Stewart Center by volunteering to them in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Jan. 18, the St. Paul United Methodist Church announced that it packed snack bags for the children’s after-school program.

The church said they primed a five-unit apartment complex that is ready to house some families, and did some light yard work.

Meanwhile, the Andrew P. Stewart Center thanked the church for their time honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a separate Facebook post.

The center said it is grateful for the continued partnership and service to the community.

St. Paul United Methodist Church’s History

The St. Paul United Methodist Church, according to its website, is located in Grant Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods.

According to the church's website, the junction of Grant and Sydney Streets has been a center of prayer, friendship, and community for 115 years.

Church’s Sunday Classes

At 10 a.m. on Sundays, St. Paul hosts worship and a variety of Sunday classes. According to the church's website, children are welcome at any time.

There is also a nursery for infants and toddlers from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. It is on the third floor, at the gym's back right corner. The nursery is appropriate for infants and toddlers. The church has a wonderful childcare staff that enjoys spending time with other children on Sundays.

Meanwhile, from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m., the Children's Sunday School begins in the gymnasium. All children in grades three to five are invited to participate. The gym at St. Paul's is on the third floor.

Church’s Service

According to the St. Paul United Methodist Church, the church service will begin at 11 a.m. in the main sanctuary.

This is a classic liturgy with a modern twist, according to the church.

It holds Holy Communion every first Sunday of the month. Meanwhile, there will be a presentation at 11:00 a.m.

During the ceremony, the congregation will be blessed by the church's outstanding choir.

Churchgoers could feel free to bring children to the service or take a break in the children's play area, which is located on the side of the sanctuary, according to the church's website.

Meanwhile, the St. Paul United Methodist Church earlier held a "Down at Camp BBQ." The church announced the BBQ event on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in a Facebook post.

The attendees do not need to cook dinner because they can stop by St. Paul and pick up some barbeque sandwiches, chips, and a drink, according to the post.

The cost is $10, with a portion of the revenues going to St. Paul United Methodist Church, according to them.
