St. Paul United Methodist Church hosts' Gifts of Christmas' concert

The St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, hosted a "Gifts of Christmas" concert on Sunday, Dec. 12.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Dec. 3, the St. Paul United Methodist Church announced that it held the story of Christmas through the gift of music.

According to the post, the concert was held at St. Paul United Methodist Church's sanctuary at 5 p.m. The church said the St. Paul Chancel Choir and the Atlanta orchestral community members perform in this evening of lessons and carols.

According to the St. Paul United Methodist, the concert was followed by a barbeque meal in front of the church.

Meanwhile, it added that a nursery was available for those who needed it.

Women's Group Book Reading

On Monday, Nov. 1, the St. Paul United Methodist Church hosted a women's group book reading.

The St. Paul United Methodist Church posted on Facebook on Saturday, Oct. 30 that it conducted a women's group reading last Monday at 7 p.m.

According to the church's post, it was held at Justine Holcomb's home.

The church said the women's group at St. Paul United Methodist Church read and discussed chapter two of the "Wild and Holy" book.

During the group discussion, the church stated that all women were welcome.

The women's group reading will be held every first Monday of the month at 7 p.m.

Basketball Season

Participants are also invited to attend the church's basketball season at St. Paul United Methodist Church.

On Friday, Oct. 29, they announced on Facebook that registration for the new basketball season would begin the following week.

Church's Biblical Ceremony

The St. Paul United Methodist Church presented a biblical service for children and youth on Sunday, Oct. 24.

According to the church's website, the St. Paul United Methodist Church performed a children's bible ceremony this year to deliver the bible to various children.

The event was held in person at the St. Paul United Methodist Church sanctuary on Sunday.

On the other hand, the church took additional precautions, such as donning face masks, providing child care, and permitting singing.

For safety precautions, those who have COVID-19 symptoms can watch the service through live-stream on the church's official social media accounts, according to St. Paul.

Amid the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) pandemic, the church pleaded patience with the new regular setting.

Church's History

According to its website, the St. Paul United Methodist Church is located in Grant Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods.

The church's website said it had provided a place of prayer, companionship, and community at the intersection of Grant and Sydney Streets for almost 115 years.

Members of the United Methodist Church expressed pride in having open hearts, minds, and doors.
