United Church Atlanta will hold U-Grow, a three-day session on intensive discipleship, on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The church’s website announced that they would teach spiritual family, maturity, and gifts. They encouraged new members or those who have not joined the U- Grow class to attend the event.
Besides, they noted that the church would provide complimentary lunch for everyone.
U-Grow Intensive
Pastor Karl Mayberry, United Church Atlanta’s Discipleship Pastor, defined on their YouTube video that U-Grow is their spiritual discipleship program. He explained that it has three courses: Spiritual Family, Spiritual Maturity, and Spiritual Gifts.
As further mentioned, U-Grow is for those who desire to discover, grow more, or know they belong to the body of Christ.
Mayberry noted the course is also for those searching for how to unlock or confirm their spiritual gifts. Besides, he added that this program could teach participants how to pray and improve their discipline in walking toward God.
In addition, U-Grow would also help them to have a fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Discovering Purpose
Meanwhile, in another section of the church’s website, they emphasized that God has a great purpose and plan for each one’s life. United Church stated they want to help members to live out their God-given purpose.
Through the U-Grow program, attendees would discover the purpose, vision, and beliefs of the United Church, as mentioned on the website. Also, they said this intensive program could help them know their gifts and personality.
In addition, the church could help them find the best way for members to serve God. The website said that through this intensive discipleship, people could know the benefits and rewards of being a part of the United Church family.
United Church’s Belief
The church’s belief section highlighted that United Church Atlanta believes God rules everything. They explained that they only think that there is only one God, and He exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
They noted that they exist eternally.
Moreover, the website mentioned that United Church Atlanta treats the Bible as God’s message to them. They said that human authors wrote them under the supernatural leading of the Holy Spirit.
The church emphasized that the Bible is the supreme reference of truth for Christian beliefs about living.
Beliefs on Church
In addition, United Church Atlanta believes that the church is a local community of Christians gathered together through their faith in Jesus. They added that the church is part of the bigger whole of the global church.
As further mentioned, they believe that the church should be dedicated to the teachings of Jesus and follow all His commands. They said the church should seek to proclaim the gospel to the world.
More importantly, they believe the church should be united in love and fulfill its primary purpose of glorifying Jesus and introducing Him to the world.

According to the same website, United Church Atlanta believes God made humans in His image. He created them to be like Him in their personalities, as noted on the website.
They emphasized that humans are the highest form of creation. They added that people have the potential for good, but sin separates them from God.
