Peachtree Presbyterian Church's Mission

According to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church website, the only way for His disciples to make a difference in a society that desperately needs love, hope, and joy is for them to develop an active, daily relationship with Jesus Christ.

The church members claimed that by increasing their knowledge and understanding of their faith and exhibiting the sincerity of their beliefs in service to one another and the world, they became partners with God in His massive restoration project.

According to the Peachtree Presbyterian, people must join Christ in restoring all things daily.

God's love, according to the church, causes people to set their differences aside.

The church shared that people experience the fullness of God when they move outside of their comfort zones, take risks, and challenge themselves to know and value one another.

God's love is both welcome and confronting, warm and firm at the same time.

According to the church, people try to balance these two aspects of God's love at all times, being reminded that they are entirely and finally loved while also being encouraged to grow more like Jesus daily.

Inspiring Discussion

The public was invited to a free inspiring discussion with Max Lucado's best-selling author at the Peachtree Presbyterian Church.

The Peachtree Presbyterian Church revealed in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 9, that best-selling author Max Lucado visited Atlanta on Sunday, Nov. 14.

At 8:45 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:15 a.m., Lucado delivered an in-person and inspiring message of hope and encouragement, according to the church.

The event, according to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, is free and open to the public.

On the other hand, the Presbyterian church stated that the event is free and open to the public, but that seating is restricted and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Max Lucado is a pastor, lecturer, and best-selling author who, in his own words, "writes books for people who don't read books," according to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church's website.

According to the church's website, his message is for the wounded, the guilty, the lonely, and the discouraged.

According to the website, Lucado was honored for mixing poetic storytelling and homey comedy with a preacher's heart in his writing.

All of his trade books began as a sermon series at Oak Hills Church, according to the Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and each of his sermons starts with him asking himself, "What can I say on Sunday that will still matter on Monday?"

According to the church, Lucado has been dubbed "America's Pastor" by Christianity Today and "America's Best Preacher" by Reader's Digest.

According to his website, his works have sold more than 120 million copies in 54 languages worldwide, and he consistently appears on bestseller lists, including The New York Times.
