Arvada Vineyard, one of the congregations under Mile High Vineyard church, will soon host the 'Sound Lab 2022' event. The special event is a gathering for all tech and worship leaders around Colorado. Here's how to join.
'Sound Lab 2022'
According to its Eventbrite invitation, the 'Sound Lab 2022' gathers all ages of worship leaders and tech teams in every church. All church officials, even musicians, and tech support can join the said event, happening from Jan. 20-22.
As explained, the Sound Lab 2022 aims for every church to have improved sound quality and Sunday services. Through the seminar, church leaders from every congregation can be trained by so-called some of the best techs in the Vineyard family.
"Our gathering will be fast-paced and include times of worship and ministry throughout the gathering. Our aim is to empower and encourage the sound and video techs who serve the church," said on the invitation.
Training Composition
Those interested to join the 'Sound Lab 2022' are expected to be trained on the following courses:
- All instruments lesson about EQ, Compression, and Effects.
- How to make your PREACHER'S microphone sound loud and clear
- Learn good source sounds from the experts (drum tuning, guitar amps, vocal technique)
- How to do room tuning
- How to develop and model a “heart of service from the soundboard”
- Test all you want. Church offers lots of microphones, speakers, and tools are on display for testing.
- Hands-on training for both digital and analog mixing consoles
- Recording and Studio fundamentals for beginners
All of these courses are divided into nine speakers that will reportedly join the three-day seminar. Such speakers include Bobby Spangler, Cynthea Kelley, Kristine Young, Doug Bell, Anabeth Morgan, Dave Young, Ben Ivey, Jerry Lanier, and Mike O'Brien.
All of the mentioned speakers have their expertise in music. Some of them are current worship pastors, while others have been experts in producing or in line with music tech.
Event Itinerary
As mentioned on the Eventbrite page, the three-day event will happen at 5855 Wadsworth Bypass, Arvada, CO.
Those who plan to travel to Arvada from different cities are advised by the church to fly to Denver on the event's first day on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 20. Participants are also given the option to book local Airbnb or get the nearest hotel accommodation from the church venue.
Registration for the event starts at 7 pm on Jan. 20 for members to get to know each other first. The registration also covers the lunch and snacks of the participants. They can also get writing materials from the church as part of their payment.
The ticket price for the Sound Lab 2022 is $149 for early-bird admission. Those who cannot pay the ticket until Wednesday, Jan. 5, can avail the regular tickets, which cost $169.
In line with the ongoing pandemic, the Arvada church also advises participants to wear their masks, especially during indoor gatherings. Minors or those under 18 years old also must have a legal guardian to attend with at the event.
