The Denver Area Youth for Christ recently shared new events to expect in its ministry. Such events include a middle school trip, a virtual run, juvenile mentoring sessions etc. Here’s how to join in each of them.

Campus Life Middle School Snowbound Trip

Denver’s Youth for Christ’s first event of February invites middle schoolers to a snowbound trip. Happening from Feb. 4-6, the Campus Life Middle School Snowbound Trip costs $199 for a registration fee.

The fee already includes the student’s transportation, lodging, and the activities to expect at the event. The three-day gathering will happen at Crooked Creek in Fraser, Colorado.

Since the participants are middle schoolers, the ministry expects guests to have their online consent forms signed before the event. Due to the pandemic, a health form is also needed.

Mentoring 201

The Denver Area Youth for Christ has been known to have ministerial works inside juvenile jails. Days after the middle school camping, the youth members are invited to a Mentoring 201 event.

The newest members of the Juvenile Justice Ministry of the church are expected to attend the class on Feb. 17. The ministry advises participants to RSVP before the official date arrives.

Virtual 5K

One of the grandest annual events of the Denver Youth for Christ ministry is its virtual 5K run challenge. From Feb. 18-21, all runners, professional or not, are invited to the event to run and “do it with a purpose.”

As announced on its page, this year’s annual 5K run aims to reach its goal of $20,000 donation. The registration fee costs $20 and it will reportedly include items such as “DAYFC participant gear, custom 2022 race bib, bottled water, snack bar, and hand sanitizer.”

Those who are interested to join the run can register on Feb. 17 via the ministry’s website. As instructed, since the event will be held virtually, all participants can run, walk, or bike, anywhere they are located.

The ministry also advises all participants to wear their YFC gear, included in the registration fee, during their run. Participants are also notified to take a video of themselves while finishing their 5K run. After that, they can send the videos to the ministry’s email account.

Be The Story

Denver Area’s Youth for Christ’s last announced event of 2022 will happen on Apr. 5. All members of the ministry are invited to the ‘Be the Story’ event.

As per its Eventbrite page, the event is a gathering for the ministry’s annual fundraising lunch. This year, Denver’s Youth for Christ aims to target its $100,000 donation goal.

Compared to other events, the Be the Story fundraising will be held for an hour event only. It will take place at Family Resource Pavilion, located at 9700 East Easter Lane Centennial, Colorado.
