The former Denver Broncos turned Los Angeles Rams linebacker Von Miller recently thanked God for his team's achievement for winning the Super Bowl 2022. The final game happened on Monday, Feb. 14, with a score of 20-23, in favor of the Rams against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Von Miller Thanks God, Former Denver Broncos Teammates

According to CBS Denver, Miller was one of the first LA Rams members who thanked God for winning the game. Surprisingly, he dedicated his win to his former Denver Broncos teammates.

In his statement, he first thanked the city of Denver, then he followed it up by saying that ‘God is good’ for everything that is happening to him. He also mentioned the late Demaryius Thomas, who was once a member of the Denver Broncos, who died in December.

Miller said that the Super Bowl championship was for Thomas and his son, Val. He also thanked his current teammates and Trevor Moawad, a late sports psychologist.

As reported via CBS Denver, it was already the second time around that Miller was part of the team who won the Super Bowl. Six years ago, when he was still with the Denver Broncos, the linebacker also won the ring against the Carolina Panthers at the time.

Von Miller as Christian

It was no longer shocking that Von Miller is an openly Christian in the NFL world. Two weeks ago, he thanked God’s plan on his Instagram account as one of Adidas’ models.

According to a 2021 report of the Broncos Wire, Miller also gave gratitude to God for what was in store for him in his career. This was the time when he was first transferred to play for Los Angeles and leave the Denver Broncos team.

He called it a “true blessing” and said that he prayed to win again during their fight with the Carolina team.

“I prayed to win again. I prayed to go to a Super Bowl again. I prayed to be able to make game changing plays on a winning team. I wasn’t able to do it with the Denver Broncos, and [God] brought me here. So, it’s a true blessing.”

In his interview, he also said at the time that he initially felt weird about joining the LA team. Still, he thanked the Denver team for sending him to a “legendary franchise with a legendary team.”

Super Bowl 2022

The Super Bowl has been one of the staple programs in the history of the United States. Many Americans have long-awaited the NFL game for all its seasons.

On Tuesday, Feb. 15, the CNBC report released the number of viewership of the recent game. Compared to last year’s game with only 15.9 million viewers, the Super Bowl 2022 had a viewership of a higher percentage, averaging 112.3 million total viewers.

Despite that, the highest-recorded viewership for the Super Bowl game happened in 2015, between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

As reported, many have anticipated this year’s game since it was the first time again for the Cincinnati Bengals to join Super Bowl.
