Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple of Miami

Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple of Miami is at 15200 S.W. 240th St. Miami, FL.

The Wat Buddharangsi in Miami is a Buddhist temple that follows the Theravada school of Buddhism. The erection of a structure, usually an endeavor undertaken by humans, is never completed without encountering obstacles.

It could be as simple as locating a level location to build with an underlying stratum capable of bearing the building's weight, or it could be a procedure riddled with political infighting, human prejudices, and obscure building codes.

Thai Temple of Homestead was the initial name for what is now known as Wat Buddharangsri. After that, the name was changed to Wat Thamarangsri, and it was changed once more to Wat Buddharangsi. In the early part of 1979, the concept of constructing the temple was first conceived.

The architectural design, which takes its cues from the East and has ascending steeples, is finished with ornamental red tiles and gold, both generously provided by the Marble Temple in Bangkok, Thailand. The central Buddha statue is a bronze construction with gold and silver embellishments; it stands 23 ft. tall and weighs five tons.

It has five buildings on five acres of land, in which they accept events, including weddings.
