In a report with Adventist Review, the landmark will span 12 floors. The building will rise alongside the Interstate 4 highway in downtown Orlando.

Randy Haffner pointed out the new building's "beautiful design." He emphasized that the new facility would make state-of-the-art healthcare more accessible for many.

Haffner is the president and CEO of Advent Health's Central Florida division.

He told the news outlet that the organization employed a world-class team. Haffner was confident that AdventHealth would transform how healthcare is delivered in a wide range of specialties.

Daryl Osbahr added that the healthcare giant was making great strides in the orthopedic department. Osbahr is the chief of orthopedic surgery for Rothman Florida.

He told the news outlet that Rothman Florida partnered with AdventHealth in 2020. The medical chief said that he was excited to bring a wide range of orthopedic specialties once the new building opened.

The new building will also host different services and outpatient care. The site is also the new location of its Neuroscience Institute and Brain Health Program.

Holy Land Experience

The healthcare giant also plans to build a new hospital on the site of the former Holy Land Experience. In a report with WESH, the faith-based nonprofit purchased the Bible-themed park in August 2020.

The news report said that AdventHealth paid $32 million for the 14-acre site. At the time, the healthcare organization was vague about its plans for the former theme park.

Holy Land Experience was located off Conroy Road and I-4. The park closed for good in 2020.

Shortly after the pandemic struck, the theme park laid off most of its workforce.

According to the report, the hospital chain proposed building a medical office building and hospital on the property.

The first phase of the rehabilitation project would include a 78,000 square foot medical office building.

Plans also included an emergency room on the first floor.

Documents said that the healthcare giant is seeking a variance to build a helipad.

According to a spokesperson with AdventHealth, the organization is still planning. They stressed that they determine the level of care and services needed in Orlando.

The new hospital building was dubbed as AdventHealth Millenia. The proposal will be submitted before the planning board on Feb. 15.

Redevelopment plans included a three-story auditorium at the site. The healthcare facility will also feature a 26,000 square foot building.

AdventHealth provided no details.

Why Did Theme Park Close?

In a report with Orlando Weekly, The Holy Land Experience closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic. During that time, it announced that it would lay off most of its workers, including performers and actors.

At that time, the theme park said that it would focus on the museum aspect of the attraction.

The park opened for two free days on April 28-29, 2020, to maintain its tax-exempt status.
