Christian singer and activist Sean Feucht led a worship rally at Disney Headquarters in Burbank, California. Feucht said the group came to protest the company's stances on gender and sexuality.
Parents Should Fight Back
In a report with Church Leaders, Feucht urged the group of activists to stop the sexualization of children. Protesters held up signs that read "Dis-Needs to STOP" and "Stop mousing around with our kids."
Feucht also took to his Twitter and urged parents to stand up against the corporation. "Parents Fight Back—We sent a message: DON'T MESS WITH OUR KIDS," he tweeted.
The Christian artist also hinted that he would take the worship rally to Orlando, Florida.
Take Responsibility as Christians
Feucht and his Christian band played worship songs on a flatbed truck. The crowd gathered outside the Alameda gate of the Disney Studio Lot. According to a report with Church Leaders, that is where Disney's headquarters is located.
The worship singer was joined by fellow pastors Rob McCoy and Samuel Deuth. The church leaders addressed the crowds and urged them to fight against the evils of the corporation.
McCoy is the pastor of Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park. He encouraged the church to awaken to its responsibility as Christians.
Deuth from Awakened Church in San Diego also posed a challenge to parents. He urged fathers "to stand up and defend their children and lead their families," and also quoted Scripture from Joshua 24.
Stand up for Righteousness
A Disney employee also spoke to the crowd. According to CBN News, the woman worked as a cast member for Disney. She thanked the attendees for their show of support and courage.
The Disney cast member admitted that things were getting very political at the corporation. She shared that it became challenging for people with conservative values to be part of the company.
"I've been with them for quite a long time, and it has gotten very political, and it's gotten very hard to be who you are. It's gotten very hard to be someone who has conservative values," she addressed the crowd.
Fighting for Next Generation
Feucht's 11-year-old daughter, Keturah, also joined her father on the stage. She led attendees in prayer.
The Bethel Church pastor told the crowd that his daughter was the reason why he was here. He shared what it felt like to hold Keturah in his arms when he was born.
Feucht said that he knew his life was about her destiny rather than his own.
The worship singer pointed out that he was aware that news outlets would tear them apart for his ideals. He stressed that he did not care about what they had to say because he was doing it for the next generation.
He emphasized that his detractors could call them whatever they wanted. Nothing would stop him from fighting for his children.
The cast member echoed Feucht's words, saying that it was okay to stand up for righteousness.
Demonstrators spoke out against CEO Bob Chapek's condemnation of Florida's Parental Rights in Education bill. The said bill has been mischaracterized by leftist groups and the media as the "Don't Say Gay bill."
The protestors, most of whom are parents, wanted to speak out against the shows aired by Disney. They challenged the company to have more appropriate shows for children.
