God is Able Outreach will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 20. Pastor Stovelleo Stovall noted that it was going to be bittersweet since it marked the second year his daughter had passed away.

Tragedy Amid Celebration

In a report with Fox News, the lead pastor told the news outlet that his daughter, Renisha Lee, was shot in her home two years ago. He remembered it was a tragic event that affected him and his family.

He stressed that his daughter did not deserve to be gunned down in her own home.

The pastor admitted that he and his wife, Renee, are yet to find closure. Stovall shared that it hurt him to see that investigators still have no leads over his daughter's death.

We Need Answers

His wife told the news outlet that their daughter's second death anniversary is on Wednesday, Feb. 16. She said that it was frustrating because they needed answers.

Renee further said they had evidence, but no one looked into the case.

According to the news outlet, Renisha Lee is only one of many young lives that were lost too soon because of gun violence.

Senseless Gun Violence

Two teens were gunned down earlier this month while shooting a music video in downtown Orlando.

One of the young men who passed away was Jonathan Robinson. The 17-year-old is close friends with Stovall's family.

The lead pastor prayed that those families who lost their loved ones to violence would find peace.

He found it sad and disturbing that these crimes continue to happen in their neighborhood.

He called for more police substations in the areas that needed patrolling.

Nathan Myers, one of the congregants, said that the criminals needed to turn their lives around. He urged them to put down their guns and go back to school.

Myers added that it was important for them to get their GED and high school diploma.

Sorrow Over Accidental Shooting

In an earlier report with Fox News, the pastor expressed his sorrow over Robinson's death. He pointed out that the young man's killing reopened old wounds.

He told the news outlet that he helped raise the young man. His wife was also hurt over Robinson's death.

The pastor recalled times when Robinson was younger. He said the young boy would go to his wife after the service and always received a piece of candy or a dollar.

Police investigators said that the death might have been an accident. Robinson was shot on Monday, Feb. 7, at Sunset Street.

Chief Orlando Rolon said the gun in question might have been a prop in the music video that they were filming.

Stovall said that he considers Robinson's father to be like a brother.

He and his wife told the news outlet that they loved Jonathan as if he was their son.

The pastor spoke of the father's kindness and support during his daughter's death. He vowed to do the same during this time of grief.

Crimeline is offering a $5,000 reward for those who could provide any information about Robinson's case.
