Several groups are taking to the streets their frustrations over the recent overturn of Roe vs. Wade. 

Demonstrators gathered outside Orlando City Hall on Saturday, June 25, to protest the U.S. Supreme Court's decision. 

Stripped of Their Rights

In a report with Fox News, the demonstrators voiced their concerns over the Supreme Court's decision. Many felt that they were stripped of their rights. 

The Supreme Court's landmark decision on Friday ended the constitutional protections for abortions. Several states are already expected to put abortion bans in place. 

America's Prayers Are Answered

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis believed that the overturn of the Roe vs. Wade case was a step in the right direction. 

He was one of several lawmakers in the state who spoke out after Friday's ruling. 

DeSantis pointed out that the decision of the Supreme Court answered the prayers of "millions upon millions of Americans." 

The governor emphasized that the Roe vs. Wade case prohibited meaningful pro-life protection. He argued that the 1973 case was "not grounded in the text, history or structure of the Constitution." 

He added that the Dobbs majority restored the public's role in the republic. DeSantis stressed that there was now a sense of hope in the knowledge that every life counts.

More Pro-Life Reforms 

DeSantis vowed that Florida would continue to defend its pro-life reforms against the state court challenges. He added that they would also expand pro-life protections. 

The governor promised that the state would always "stand for life." He explained that they would do so by promoting adoption, foster care, and child welfare.

DeSantis has always been outspoken on his stance against abortion. In a report with Florida Politics, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist spoke out against DeSantis. 

DeSantis Will Outlaw Abortions 

Crist warned that DeSantis would outlaw abortion should he be reelected into office. The leading Democratic candidate promised that he would continue to support abortion rights. 

He pointed out that DeSantis was not siding with women or reproductive freedom because of his views. 

Crist rallied his supporters to work together to fight against the governor's forthcoming attacks. 

Some lawmakers viewed the recent overturn of Roe vs. Wade as an attack on women. 

Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried called the Friday ruling a "tragic day for women." Fried has always been known for her pro-abortion views. 

She called out Crist for his being "flip-flopping" on the abortion issue. Crist is a former Republican who once appointed anti-abortion judges in Florida. 

Faith leaders across the country have also expressed their views on the abortion issue.

Every Life Is Sacred 

According to a report with Click Orlando, the topic of abortion has long divided Religious Americans. 

Some felt sad or angered over the recent overturn. Others said that it was a victorious day for the pro-life community. 

The Very Rev. Kris Stubna of St. Paul Cathedral said that the decision was "a day of great joy and blessing." He stressed that their prayers had been answered. 

"This law violated the very law of God, that every life is sacred," he said. "A person cannot support abortion and still be a faithful member of the church."
