IronMen of God ministry recently announced on its Facebook page the premiere of its short film, "Got Your Six." The organization thanked its donors and sponsors for making the production of the film possible.

First Responders, Job Trauma

According to the Facebook post, the event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Winter Garden Theatre. The film will be hosted by screenwriter and director Brooke Hill.

The short film follows the story of three first responders who are experiencing job trauma. The plot will also show how the trauma affects their lives and how they respond, the post bared.

What to Expect During Film's Premiere

Orange Observer reported that country artist Patrick Gibson would perform before the start of the film.

Guests are required to wear masks throughout the film. Attire is red carpet-themed. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best outfits.

Ticket prices start at $6 each.

Proceeds of the sales of tickets will go towards Got Your Six ministry seminars. The funds would also help other organizations provide counseling services.

Feeling Pressures of Vocation

Windermere Police Chief Dave Ogden is part of the organization. He shared that he felt the pressures of his vocation during his career in law enforcement.

Ogden said there were many times when he encountered stressful situations. He never realized that these would be captured on film.

The police chief stressed that he and the organization were not trying to make any money off the film.

According to Ogden, different ministries plan to use the short film to show the necessity of stress management and counseling.

Got Your Six Ministry

The Facebook post said the film promotes the Got Your Six ministry, a branch of IronMen of God. The organization's mission is to raise Christian men as leaders in the community.

Meanwhile, according to Orange Observer, Ogden's friend David Hill founded IronMen of God.

Ogden founded Got Your Six to give a safe environment for first responders like him. The ministry aims to inspire its members to be servant leaders through spiritual guidance.

The organization derives its name from a military term. It meant that a soldier's back was at the six o'clock position.

Ogden said he had a passion for law enforcement and drawing people to Christ.

"We're looking to offer a community for the law-enforcement community to come together," he said.

Helping 1st Responders Manage Stress

Ogden hoped to give first responders the means to have access to stress management and conflict resolution. He also wished to improve the quality of their lives in their jobs through spiritual balance.

The ministry offers a series of seminars that would help them build their strengths.

The police chief explained that people who work in law enforcement do not trust people. He stressed that it was part of the job, which made their personal life challenging at times.

The seminars offer first-hand advice and spiritual guidance for the attendees.

Labor of Love

The short film's director, Brooke Hill, said she wanted to show the plot from the officer's point of view.

Ogden added that what started as a promotional turned into a "labor of love."
