Church of the Palms United Church of Christ (UCC) hosts the comeback of the Super Summer Salad Spectacular, an annual event to gather the community for food sharing. The event was held in the church on July 17, Sunday. It resumed after a two-year hiatus due to COVID–19.

Super Summer Salad Spectacular, Returns

Church of the Palms UCC invited its congregation for the comeback of its Super Summer Salad Spectacular. According to its calendar, the church is happy to resume this annual event with some modifications to guard everyone's health and safety.

Since the pandemic hit two years ago, the church's calendar of events did not include the Super Summer Salad Spectacular. On July 17, Sunday, the church gathered again for this community event.

However, unlike the previous years, members were requested to bring a completely prepared salad instead of some salad ingredients.

Church of the Palms UCC also welcomed bringing cookies or brownies to share.

Moreover, the church provided a sign–up poster available in advance that shared a list of items members can bring for the Super Summer Salad Spectacular day. It was delighted to host this event again.

It was a time for fellowship and catching up over a meal with friends and family at the church. The church hosted the event after the service on July 17.

Donations for HART Pantry

Church of the Palms UCC requested donations to help HART Pantry fill backpacks for teens in need. It is united with the entire Christian community to help students begin with their needed supplies for school.

As shared on its website, the church encouraged its congregation to donate to the Back–to–School Drive for at-risk teens. It asked all to drop off items in the HART Pantry box in its narthex until July 13.

Church of the Palms UCC also provided a list of items needed for the HART Pantry Back–to–School Drive.
