Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona is set to host “United Women in Faith” to support women's health needs.
On a Facebook post on Monday, July 25, the church announced that the event is rescheduled for Aug. 6, Saturday, at 10 a.m.
According to the church’s post, the guest speaker will be Brittany Fonteno, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Planned Parenthood Arizona, Inc.
The church said participants may find out about many services this organization provides to support women’s health in the community.
Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church said templates will be also available to write letters to elected officials.
Meanwhile, the church said feminine hygiene products will be under the event's mission collection.
In the same post, the church encouraged the public to bring a friend as snacks, drinks, and desserts will be provided by the church.

United Women in Faith
Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church said it thinks that love in action can transform the world.
It said that a sisterhood that acts in faith takes on the world's difficult tasks head-on.
The church links spiritual women together to take courageous action for justice and transform communities.
They encourage to make an effect in one of the many available ways.
Other Circles
Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church said they meet on the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in various houses for conversation, study, and service for Mary Martha Circle.
For Outreach Fellowship Circle, the church said they meet for a program on the second Thursday of the month in Fellowship Hall at 10:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, the church said the attendees meet every third Tuesday for supper and study at 6:30 p.m. in different local restaurants for the devotions and dinner.
A book club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. in various homes, according to the church.
For the Desert Daisies Lunch Bunch, the church said they assemble at 12:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at the church parking lot to carpool to various restaurants for socializing and conversation.
Fellowship Groups
Every year, the camping ministry goes camping to share in fellowship and have fun in God's creation, according to the church’s website.
Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church said regardless of prior camping experience, and everyone is welcome. Due to the campsite being closed, this year's camping trip has been postponed.

According to the church’s post, meet at 6 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.
The church said that from September through May, join Fellowship Hall for a potluck and some socializing.
According to the church, it will spread the excitement over the summer and conclude with a back-to-school party rather than a five-day VBS program.
The church said not every date has yet been selected. It added that participants may keep an eye out for the flyers and announcements in the monthly newsletter and weekly church email (Oasis).
